CCMT 2018 Important Dates for Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment

Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des. admissions (CCMT) 2018 is an on-line admission process for all National Institutes of Technologies (NITs) and several other institutes viz. IIITM Gwalior, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, IIITDM Kancheepuram, IIIT Vadodara, SLIET Longowal, NIFFT Ranchi, SPA Vijayawada, PEC Chandigarh, IIIT Allahabad, Central University of Rajasthan, University of Hyderabad, Central University of South Bihar Patna, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra and IIEST Shibpur. As decided by the Core Committee, Counselling for centralized admission to postgraduate programs in all these institutes will be starting from 1st week of April 2018

The GATE 2018 Result has been announced on March 16, 2018 (one day before actual date). Now CCMT portal is open for Registration , so all GATE Qualified aspirants can register and can participate in admission process of NIT for Mtech Course.

CCMT 2018 Important Dates

Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. / M.Arch./ M.Plan. / M.Des. admissions, i.e., CCMT 2018. is a platform by which students can apply for admission in various NITs, IIITs and several other Centrally funded institutes using their GATE Score. Last year, CCMT was organized by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat. The candidates should keep in mind the above dates and complete each step as per it. The authorities do not accept any registration after the last date. So it is important that candidates should complete it before the deadline.

NSR Round Detailed Schedule/Guidelines

In an attempt to fill the seats that may still remain vacant after the first three rounds of allotment, a National Spot Round (NSR) of allotment will be conducted.

Admission Process For CCMT 2018

The admission process for CCMT 2018 has been explained below.

  1. First step is registration , candidates need to provide the essential information like – GATE Related information , Qualification information , Bank Related information.
  2. Submit Registration fee . Candidate need to pay INR 2,200 (OC/OB) or INR 1,700 (SC/ST/Pwd) , which is non refundable. After this step candidate can perform choice filling.
  3. Choice Filling : Candidate is shown the possible ‘Institute->Department -> Programme’ grouping based on essential information provided by the candidate. Candidate need to specify the prioritized choice list.
  4. Allotment Process : Involves Round 1 , Round 2 , Round 3 and internal sliding in that order.
  5. If seat is alloted , then candidate need to pay seat acceptance fee (INR 20,000)
  6. Candidate (for Whom seat is alloted) needs to visit RC to specify his willingness, Floating/Sliding/Freezing.
  7. If willingness option is Freezing, candidate need to pay INR 10,000 towards Seat Confirmation Fee and can download the Provisional Admission Letter. Note that all the candidates for whom the seats are allotted need to pay Seat Confirmation Fee as per the CCMT schedule ( Annexure I ) .
  8. With option set Freezing, the candidate can physically visit the Institute for admission in stipulated period with Provisional Admission Letter .
  9. During NSR round, the candidate has to do the registration as specified in Step 1
  10. Candidate need to pay INR 42,200 (OC/OB) / INR 11,700 (in the case of SC/ST/PwD), which is non-refundable in case of seat allotment . This step will allow the candidate to perform choice filling.
  11. Choice Filling: This step is same as Step 3.
  12. Fresh Candidates who are registered for NSR need to get the documents verified at any RCs.
  13. Seat Allotment Process (NSR) – Same as in Round 1/ Round 2/ Round 3/IS.
  14. Candidate has to report to the allotted Institute with the Provisional Admission Letter in stipulated period with original documents , three coloured passport sized photographs and one set of self – attested photocopy of the original documents as mentioned in Annexure II and pay institute balance fee.
